    Explanation:

    In the above reaction, Sulphur atom react with oxygen molecule forming Sulphur trioxide. It is also known as Sulphur anhydride. It is pollutant which is formed when sulphur is emitted from the industries. This pollutant mixes with rain water forming sulphuric acid and makes the rain water acidic.
