Why does burning fossil fuels put ecosystems under pressure?

    When fossil fuels are burned, carbon - dioxide and other greenhouse gases are released which trap the Sun's heat and can lead to global warming. The over heating of the atmosphere can put ecosystems under pressure especially the tundra regions.
