    Boyle's law states the pressure of an ideal gas is inversely proportional to volume it occupies.

    Charle's law states the volume of an ideal gas is directely proportional to absolute temperature.

    Thus, when the pressure of 2.0L of gas is doubled, the volume is halved to 1.0 L. Then as the temperature is decreased also in halved from 400K to 200K, the volume is halved from 1.0L to 0.5L
