    Molar mass LiCl = 42.394 g/mol

    number of moles solute:

    n = mass of solute / molar mass

    n = 39.4 / 42.394

    n = 0.929 moles

    Therefore:

    Molarity = number of moles / volume (L)

    M = 0.929 / 1.59

    M = 0.584 mol/L
