If the average speed of a helium atom at a certain temperature is 1220 m/s, what is the speed in miles per hour? (1 mi = 1609 m)

    1 mile = 1609 m

    and 1 hour = 3600 seconds

    so we can convert 1220 m/s into miles per hour as following:

    (1220 m/s) * (3600 sec/hour) : (1609 m/mile)

    = 2729.65 mile/hour
