When an acid and an alkali react, a reaction known as "neutralisation reaction" occurs. The result of this reaction is salt and water. Different types of salts are obtained based on which acids and alkalis are used. The common salts include Sodium Chloride.
I think, we can call it "neutralisation reaction" since a reaction occurs.
