Ions are electrically charged particles shaped when atoms gain or lose electrons. They have the similar electronic arrangements as noble gases. When the atom drops electrons, they become positive charged ions which are called as cations. Whereas, when it increases electrons, it develops negative charged ions which are named anions. So that is by what means the hydrogen ion go into a hydrogen atoms.
