Determine the molar solubility (s) of ag2co3 in a buffered solution with a ph of 4.987 using the systematic treatment of equilibrium. ksp (ag2co3) = 8.46 * 10-12; ka1 (h2co3) = 4.45 * 10-7; ka2 (h2co3) = 4.69 * 10-11.

    pH = 11.50 is the same as pOH = 2.50 and thus [OH-] = 10^-2.50 M. Ksp = 5.0X10^-17 = [Zn (2+) ]*[OH-]^2 = [Zn (2+) ]*10^-5.0 Hence [Zn (2+) ] = 5.0X10^-12 M. This is the molar solubility of Zn (OH) 2 in a buffer solution with a pH of 11.50.
