How many moles of O2 are produced when 0.500 mol of KO2 reacts in this fashion?

    0
    0.500 mol KO2 * 1 mol O2 / 1 mol KO2 so you cancel mol KO2, leaving you 0.500 * 1 mol O2/1 = 0.5 mol O2
