The absolute temperature of a gas increased four times while maintaining a constant volume. What happens to the pressure of the gas?

    Following the ideal gas law PV = nRT, and changing it in terms of pressure we get P = nRT/V. When the absolute temperature of a gas is increased four times while maintaining constant volume, the pressure of the gas also increases four times. The pressure increases because temperature is directly proportional with pressure.
