Answer is: 10,024 grams of calcium oxide are needed.

    m (Hg) = 36 g.

    n (Hg) = m (Hg) : M (Hg).

    n (Hg) = 36 g : 200,6 g/mol.

    n (Hg) = 0,179 mol.

    From chemical reaction: n (Hg) : n (CaO) = 4 : 4 (1 : 1).

    n (CaO) = 0,179 mol.

    n (CaO) = 0,179 mol · 56 g/mol.

    n (CaO) = 10,024 g.
