    SSH or Secure Socket Shell is a TCP network protocol that facilitates establishing secure, encrypted connections. The default port for SSH is 22. The port on which the local SSH server software listens for SSH connection requests can be changed to another port without affecting the level of security provided by the SSH protocol.
