Make comparisons between thermoplastics and thermosetting polymers (a) on the basis of mechanical characteristics upon heating, and (b) according to possible molecular structures.

    (a) Thermoplastics get harder as they cool and soften as they are heated. Where as thermosetting polymers get harder as they heated.

    (b) Thermoplastics have branched structures whereas thermosetting polymers are cross-linked.
