Both writings use the inequality as a theme, however the address the theme in different ways in "Harrison Bergeron" the authorities are trying to make all the people identical in every way, so if someone outstands for being prettier or smarter the apply ridiculous methods to make him/her average, on the other hand in "The Light of Gandhi's Lamp" the authorities have unlawful and immoral behavior all supported in racist laws and she gets to know one man that is different than the rest, cordial and pleasant.
