When the Germans threw bread to the hungry Jews, they caused chaos.

    Explanation:

Elie Wiesel recounts what she witnessed when the Germans threw pieces of bread at a mass of Jews who had not eaten in a long time and were hungry.

Elie says this has caused a great cause. This was because hunger made the Jews lose their sense of humanity and they started to climb on top of each other and act with total insanity to get the pieces of bread. The Germans found this very amusing and continued to throw pieces of bread to watch the Jews act with total insanity.
