Informal english can be described as the language we use in casual settings; formal english is more often used in literature and official settings.

the only answer choice that seems to use "casual" speak would be "when i was growing up." this is a phrase we would use in speech. formally, one would probably say "when i was a child" or "in my youth." the other answer choices don't appear to have casual language in them.
