Standing on the pier, we watched the dolphins feeding on mullet. C. Standing on the pier feeding on mullet, we watched the dolphins. D. We watched the dolphins feeding on mullet standing on the pier.

    I would have to say the answer is "B". The other possible answers were grammatically incorrect. "A" implies the people on the pier were eating mullet, not the dolphin. "C" is basically the same as answer "A", but the sentence is ordered differently. "D" You have to use common sense. There would not be dolphins on the pier feeding on mullet.
