The wife told a story that happened during the time King Arthur ruled, when elves run around and impregnate women. But, instead of using elves as the characters of the story, she substituted it with friars. Friars, as the story continues, are those who run around and impregnate women.

The wife portrayed the friar as promiscuous and irresponsible.
