    Without knowing more context, it's hard to say this with ultimate certainty, but assuming you're referring to the Holocaust, the best answer here is C. Much of the world was unaware of what was happening in Europe with the Jews and others that were being persecuted. Because of this, many of the liberators filmed and photographed the camps and people in them to document the atrocities that occurred.

    By the time this happened, the Germans were already being defeated, so A doesn't make much sense. B is an option, but your question doesn't mention children, so it sounds too specific. D makes absolutely no sense as Shirley Temple would most likely not be in a film that depicted something as serious as liberation from the Holocaust.
