Is it a threat to our health? Yes, most certainly. But culture ... well, that's where it gets a little more complicated. It depends really on WHAT culture, instead of categorizing it all in one. People could argue that it's a threat to tradition, no matter where it came from. Home-cooked family meals are being replaced by Big Macs and sodium-rich French fries. Anyone could argue that it is a threat to their culture because in some ways, it is.

But then again, couldn't it be argued that ALL fast-food restaurants are a threat to culture? Certainly they're a threat to cultural identity. All over the world (though let's be honest, America is where all the REAL grease and fatty foods are) fast food chains are replacing hot meals made in traditional styles. You could even say cultural identity is being stripped away.
