Per my knowledge and research, they beliefs that are common in both of them are:
1) there souls live forever, they don't believe that they die.
2) the result of karma and one's action.
(these are the only common beliefs that i'm aware of) there are actually many of the beliefs that are common in both of them.

Karma, good morel is key.
the soul never dies, reincarnation based on your karma.
