Where are the majority of the wettest climates located?

There are many theories about that, for example in Africa tropical rain forests near the equator is considered the wettest climate while people living in British Colombia, Vancouver or Hawaii call their home the "Wettest".

But statistically speaking the Indian town of " Mawsynram" is the wettest climate on Earth with an annual rainfall of 12 meters.
