Why did Nehemiah rebuke the nobles and rulers of Jerusalem?

    He rebuked them for profaning the sabbath

    The rich and the nobles were bringing merchant goods to the city on sabbath day. With his courage, Nehemiah rebuked them and also closed the gates to the city until sabbath was over.
