What effect did Rome's expansion have on its economy?

It hurt citizens who lost their jobs to cheaper labor that was available from newly acquired land.

It hurt merchants who no longer had a reason to travel on trade routes and sell their goods for money.

It hurt the government because new lands were difficult to control and maintain without a large enough army.

It hurt small farmers who could not compete with large farms that were bought after expansion.
