There are six types of maps.

A map that shows the landforms, water and features of a place is called a Physical Map.

On a physical map, blue is used to illustrate the presence of water, green is used to indicate land found in lower elevations, while orange or brown is used to indicate land found at higher elevations.

Other types of maps are climate maps, economic or resource maps, political maps, road maps, and topographic maps.
