Depart the holding fix at the EFC time and complete the approach

According to the Aeronautical Information Publication, it states that:

While holding at a fix and receiving instructions indicating the time of departure from the fix, the pilot will change the flight-path of the aircraft within the limits of the fixed holding pattern to leave the fix at the exact time stated.

Once the holding fix has been departed, normal speed must be resumed with regards to other controlling speed specifications such as terminal zone speed restrictions, specific ATC requests.

In which the fix is connected with an instrument approach and timed adjustments are in place, a procedure change should not be performed only if the pilot informs ATC, as aircraft holding is required to proceed inbound immediately from the holding pattern on final approach upon receipt of approach clearance.
