The main colonial objection to British taxes was C. the poor economy after the Seven Years' War

    Explanation:

Britain needed money to pay the war debts after the Seven Years' war it fought which is also called the French and Indian war. Thus, the Parliament and the King decided to be their right to increase the tax from the colonies. Several taxes were imposed to cover these debts from the money obtained.

But, the economy had degraded by a huge amount after the Seven Year's war and this became the main colonial objection to British taxes. People was not happy to pay these taxes as this was not imposed by the American government to cover their debt, but by a foreign government which was trying to pay their debts using the American's hard-earned money.
