The concept of green revolution was that there was use of fertilizers, high yielding varieties and the irrigation methods in the agriculture. With the use of all this, there was increase in the production of the agricultural produce of food grains.

But with the all this, there was damage to the environment also with the use of fertilizers. The fertilizers used for increase in production flowed in the river water with the rain and also damaged the soil by removing it's some of the major nutrients.
