A nation that has just got released from the dominance of a particular stronger country is said to have acquired freedom or independence.

The former ruler or colonial country will now engage in a kind of patronizing attitude to still have access with the newly created country. This means that, they will be trying to be nice with them, by patronizing them until the new country can now stand on its own.
