Given that the Olmec worshiped anthropomorphic deities, do you think they believed their rulers were human beings?

    The people of Olmec believed in worshipping their gods or supernatural beings which were represented by various sculptures. They were avid worshippers and believers of three tiers of existence which includes the physical realm they inhabited, an underworld and a sky realm, home of most of the gods.

    They didn't believe their gods were humans. They believed they were relatives they were relatives of their supernatural gods.
