The industrial sector of the US boomed around 1812, after the embargo act of 1807 was put into place and revised. The US passed this act and blocked all trade with European countries due to France's and Britains aggression in the Atlantic, but was later revised in the non-intercourse act, which only blocked trade with France and Britain. This is important because it caused United State's economy to become more self-sufficient, making the US lacking industrial sector expand as a result.
