    Continental Drift was proposed by Frank B. Taylor in 1908 and later readressed by Alfred Wegener in 1912.

    Wegener saw many similarities beween the fossils of plants and animals on both sides of the Atlantic, and also found Polar glacier evidence in places now located in equatorian regions.
