A) African slavery rose in popularity during the 17th and 18th centuries because slaves were a cheaper labor force than indentured servants. Along with this, slaves were considered property and could be kept forever while indentured servants only had to work 4-7 years for a plantation owner. After that time, they would receive their own piece of land.

B) Africans were negatively impacted by the increase of slavery in the British colonies because African tribes were now competing against each other for prisoners of war. The British government often made deals with African leaders, as they would buy slaves from different tribes. This resulted in increased competition/hostility between African tribes (especially those in West Africa).

C) African slaves resisted slavery by running away from their plantations. Their goal would be to escape to a different state/territory where they can be free.
