A single election can often turn the tide of a country's social standing.
Explanation:
Oftentimes, a single election dictates much of the future of a country as the government that comes into power fundamentally changes the situations of the country itself.
This is something that was increasingly seen in the 20th century with one election completely changing the face of the country.
Adolf Hitler and the third Reich only ever contested one election and so did Mussolini who then made sure that no single election ever occurred again.
