I think the story of Atalanta is meant to inspire women to break out of traditional roles, or to warn them that doing so is dangerous because she was rejected by her father and then became what he always wanted to have for a child. Then, she proved she had the same capabilities as a man and that she then became better than many of them. Also, she didn't need a man.

    Explanation:

The reason I have to think this is that Atalanta was born the daughter of two gods. But she was dropped out in the wilderness because her father wanted to have a male child, not a female on. Then, she was raised by hunters and she learned to hunt incredibly good, she also became an amazing fighter and decided to not look for a man. She was attacked by minotaurs and defeated them. So she represents a new gender perspective.
