Though the United State Supreme court annulled the Georgian law that prohibited non native Americans to be present in cherokee territory (native American Land), the decisions was not enforced and had little impact at that time. The decision didn't carry order of enforcement and even president Andrew Jackson and Governor Glimer didn’t abide by the decision. Worcester felt that the decision is refused by the state itself and it didn't impact in protecting broad legal rights of the Indians. Within 3 years, the cherokee nation was forced west of Mississippi river on "Trials of Tears".
