I am pretty sure that the exceprt shown above states the conflict that occurs at the end of the play. While reading these lines you can notice how author gradually describes the future conflict. Of course there is an element of suspense, it is quite a common and necessary tool, but these lines are writter as if to make th reader prepare for the fight.
