    The correct answer is letter B. After the Civil War ended, the industry of the North thrived and the economy was recovered quickly. It had a direct opposite kind of economy with the South because it was where 90% of the nation's manufacturing output came from. The North area produced cotton, woolen textiles, leather goods, pig iron, among others, at greater rates and speed compared to the South. The South experienced a downfall in its economy because of the massive destruction that happened during the war and the costs that are involved in rebuilding such infrastructures took a toll in the their economy.
