Why did ww1 start and who was the first country to start this war?

    What started the war was the assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand in Sarajevo on 28th June 1914, it caused chain events that led up to WWI. It first began between Austria-Hungary and Serbia, it grew into a war involving 32 countries.
