Change equation into standard form y=1/5x-1

    You just need to have both the x and y terms on the same side of the equation.

    y = 1/5x - 1

    subtract 1/5x from each side

    -1/5x + y = - 1

    the x term cannot be negative, so multiply the whole equation by - 1

    1/5x - y = 1
