A=25+2s, b=40+1.5s if they are equal ...

25+2s=40+1.5s subtract 25 from both sides

2s=15+1.5s subtract 1.5s from both sides

.5s=15 divide both sides by. 5

s=30

So if Louis sells 30 pair of shoes he will make the same either way.
