A painter uses a roller to paint a wall. The roller has a radius of 5 inches and a height of 13 inches. In one roll, what is the area of the wall that he will paint? What is the area that he will paint in 3 rolls? Use 3 for pie

    The area of wall that will be painted in one roll would be equal to the curved surface area of the roller. Therefore, the curved surface area of roller = 2*pie*radius*height Given: pie=3 So, Curved Surface Area of the roller=2*3*5*13 sq. in. = 390 sq. in Therefore, Area of the wall painted in one roll is equal to 390 sq. in. While Area of the wall painted in 3 rolls will be (390*3) or 1170 sq. in
