What is the numerical expression of 5/8 - 5/12 (3-1/4) + 2/3

    5/8 - (5/12 * (3 - 1/4)) + 2/3

    so 3 - 1/4 is 2 and 3/4, or 11 / 4.

    (11 / 4) * (5 / 12) is 55 / 48.

    5 / 8 * (6 / 6) = 30 / 48

    2 / 3 * (16 / 16) = 32 / 48

    30 / 48 - 55 / 48 + 32 / 48 = 62 / 48 - 55 / 48 = 7 / 48
