    Ok we need to put the lettres apart and the numbers apart

    3x+4-4<13-4

    =3x<9

    =3x/3<9/3

    = x<3

    Subtract 4 from both sides. Simplify 13-4 to 9. Divide both sides by 3. Simplify 9/3 to 3.

    Answer: x < 3
