Stan wants to add trim all around the edge of a rectangular tablecloth that measures 5 feet long by 7 feet wide. The perimeter of the rectangular tablecloth is twice the length added to twice the width. How much trim does Stan need to buy?

    Perimeter = 2 (length) + 2 (width)

    Perimeter = 2 (5 feet) + 2 (7 feet)

    Perimeter = 10 feet + 14 feet

    Perimeter = 24 feet

    Stan needs to buy 24 feet of trim.
