Deshawn fuels 2 yachts and 6 barges. Each boat gets 126 gallons of fuel. To find how much fuel he needs for all the boats, deshawn first findsthe number of boats, then he uses an algorithm to multiply. Which are the three partial products deshawn could add to find the final product?

    Since there are 8 boats (2 yachts + 6 barges) the three partial products would be as follows:

    100 * 8

    20 * 8

    6 * 8

    These are from taking the gallons of fuel for each boat that are needed and breaking it into the place values.

    (100*8) + (20 * 8) + (6*8) =

    800+160+48=

    1008 gallons of fuel are needed.
