Simple. first make sure there are common denominators. There is, thus, you can now subtract.
11/12-2/12.
11-2=9
and you don't subtract denominators.
Then, 9/12
you can simplify even more by dividing both the numerator and denominator by 3. So 9/3=3 and 12/3=4
So, in simplest form, your answer is 3/4.
