    Answer: a) 26 guests

    b) No, there will be no ice cream left because the result of the division is a exact number.

    Step-by-step explanation:

    Pints purchased: 19 ½ = (19.2+1) / 2 = 39/2

Serve of pint per guest: 3/4

    a. How many guests can be served ice cream?

To find out how many guests can be served all we have to do is divide the amount purchased by the amount served per guest:

    39/2 : 3/4 = 39/2 * 4/3 = 26 guests

    b. Will there be any ice cream left? Justify your answer.

No, there will be no ice cream left because the result of the division is a exact number.
