Find a common denominator for the two fractions to be able to combine them.
Let's use 48.
Multiply both parts of 2/3 by 16, then multiply both parts of - 1/16 by 3.
32/48 + - 3/48
This is the same as subtracting the second fraction from the first, so let's write it like that.
(32-3) / 48
29/48
Since 29 is a prime number, the fraction cannot be reduced, so that is the final answer.
