The summers family has completed 35 miles of a road trip. The family wants to drive at least 245 miles by the end of the day. Mr. summers plans to travel at a speed of 60 miles per hour for the rest of the trip. The inequality 60h + 35 greater than equal to 245 represents the number of hours h, the family plans to drive. Find how many hours they will need to drive to reach their destination and graph the solution

What we need to do here is just to isolate h:

    60h + 35 > = 245

Subtract 35 from bot sides of the inequation:

    60h > = 210

Then divide both sides by 60

    h > = 3.5

So they will need to drive at least 3 and a half hours.
